In what was described as one of the most unique battles on The Voice thus far, Team Adam’s Melanie Martinez and Caitlin Michele tackled Ellie Goulding’s “Lights.”
Their beautiful melodies inspired Christina Aguilera to call it “the prettiest and most moving performance of the whole day.” None of the coaches could pick a standout winner, but Cee Lo did say he “loved Melanie.”
Adam was very pleased with his contestants’ performance, but ultimately picked Melanie.
But Caitlin wasn’t sent home empty-handed. Cee Lo and Blake pressed their buttons for the young singer, and she ultimately joined Team Cee Lo.
